Brent Sharrer, MS, CIH

 

Brent Sharrer is a Board Certified Industrial Hygienist and directs the industrial hygiene division at HPE.  Mr. Sharrer has been with HPE for over ten years and has developed extensive experience in conducting field investigations for residential, commercial and governmental indoor air quality investigations.  His expertise  includes directing remediation projects, consultation on mold issues, communicating health based risk analysis, preparing budgets, proposals and project reports and providing technical discourse on indoor air quality issues with clients, colleagues and consultants.


Mr. Sharrer received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The College of William and Mary and a Master of Science degree in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina.  Prior to joining HPE, Mr. Sharrer conducted research involving the growth, predation, and population dynamics of flatfish for the Belle W. Baruch Institute for Marine Biology and Coastal Research at the University of South Carolina.  His previous experience also includes performing gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy analysis on water and soil samples for hydrocarbon and halocarbon for the Trace Organics Laboratory at Maryland Department of the Environment.
