Ray Petrisek received his BS and B.A. degrees in Microbiology from Kent State University and his MS in Medical Microbiology from Ohio

State University.  He is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathology, both as a medical technologist and specialist in microbiology, hematology, and has 25 years of experience in medical and environmental microbiology.

Prior to joining HP Environmental, Mr. Petrisek was Director of Immunopathology and Chief of Microbiology for a major reference medical laboratory.  Between 1987 and 1992, Mr. Petrisek pursued his longtime passion and founded Sunwood Development Corporation where he successfully designed and constructed innovative homes of distinction.

In 1993 Mr. Petrisek returned to the field of microbiology and joined HP Environmental as Director of Environmental Microbiology.  In this role, he consults on indoor air quality assessments and reviews scientific data dealing with human exposure to biohazards and has conducted numerous investigations of biocontamination.

Mr. Petrisek has successfully directed aerobiological assessments of numerous major projects for law firms, military and governmental agencies, commercial and residential owners, hospital, medical and prison facilities, industrial and insurance companies.  He has also provided expert testimony in administrative and arbitration hearings regarding indoor air quality, occupant exposure to bioaerosols and microbiological issues within buildings.

Mr. Petrisek is an active member of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology, American Academy of Microbiology, American Industrial Hygiene Association, American Society of Microbiology, and the International Association for Aerobiology.
